On both a GL1100I and VF700F, I tried to go cheap with replacement fuel pumps. Turns out that the original equipment should be used. In the case of the VF700, the cheap pump died within a year, and the GL1100 replacement pump caused a fire.
In the background of the picture is the gl1100 engine which is being cleaned up and painted. In the foreground is the 1985 VF700F that is in running condition.
